This blog is embarrassing because I’m putting myself out there. Then I’m in public talking about my blog, trying to get people to notice, but the ratio of people who express interest and who take action upon that interest, is relatively low. Which means I am talking to the wrong people- trial and error.
You see, trial and error can be embarrassing. How many people can imagine bombing a speech in front of a hundred audience members? How many people can imagine getting booed off stage? How many people would invest their life savings into a business plan only YOU believe in?
You’re probably saying, I could do it… if I wanted…
This is true!
Yet we limit ourselves, which seems funny, because for every pleasure we deny ourselves… we have to justify that answer. And as a result many people spend their lives justifying negative actions.
For example, many people go to work, then go home and bitch about the people at work!
I say. “If you don’t like who you work with, why work there????”
As a little bonus these same “dread work people,” grab a Cosmo magazine in the grocery line, and the headline reads, “Are people talking behind your back at work??? Find out by taking the quiz on page 24.”
Before even opening that magazine I have a little advice for you…
If you think people are talking behind your back…
The question is not whether people are talking behind your back or not… its a matter of what they are saying.
So if you think people are talking negative behind your back…
Good work, now if you are thinking everybody talks good things behind your back…
You’re wrong!!! Get your head out of the clouds you conceited goof.
What mindset do you have?
Do you say, “Money doesn’t buy happiness.”
Or do you ask, “Are you happy when you’re broke?”
Would your ideal self be broke?
When broke people say, “Money doesn’t buy happiness,” what are they justifying?
Did you know that James Arthur Ray- writer and reader of Harmonic Wealth seems to believe there is “Enough energy in one cubic inch of the zero gravity point to boil the water in all the oceans.”
The way I see it, “I take up a lot of cubic inches of space!”
The way I see it, “When a leader leads. The only person he reports to is the mirror.”
The way I see it, “I appreciate life from a place of fullness, and now I want to get paid for it!”
So how do we overcome embarrassment??
We ask what our ideal self would do in a certain situation…
Then we ask… am I doing this for me? Or am I doing this because I am scared to be doing THAT…
